Stations of the Cross

Jesus’ Friends Following in the Way of Christ

The Stations of the Cross, also known as the Way of the Cross, is an ancient spiritual discipline of following Jesus in the final hours leading to his death on the cross. Each station invites followers to stop and contemplate a key moment of Jesus’ journey using the images, prayers and meditations to guide the participants. While the Stations can be experienced any time during the year, they are most often utilized during Lent and Holy Week – especially Good Friday.

At St. Bede’s the Stations of the Cross are on the walls inside the church. Below, you will find a virtual presentation of St. Bede’s Stations of the Cross and meditations based on the time Jesus called his followers “Friends.” Other meditations may be used and the experience can be as an individual or with a group of participants. If you would like to walk the stations at St. Bede’s or join us for a communal service, feel free to contact us here for more information. We hope you will enjoy this virtual presentation.
